Welcome to Talent Development/GT
Hello Families! I am so excited to be the Gifted and Talented teacher for the 3nd year at Sheridan Hills Elementary. Before coming to Sheridan Hills I was a classroom teacher for 10 years. I had the chance to teach 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade. I loved the time that I had as a classroom teacher, but my passion has always been differentiation. I am of the mindset that all students need to be challenged at their level. I am grateful that I get to be a part of your child’s personal learning experience at Sheridan Hills.
I received my Elementary Education Undergraduate Degree from University of Minnesota, Mankato. During this time, I also received a Middle School Language Arts Endorsement. After teaching for a couple of years, I went back to school at St. Mary’s University and got my Master of Arts in Education. As a life-long learner, I am always looking for ways to learn about how to improve my teaching and your child’s education.
I currently live in Northeast Minneapolis with my husband, Jason, and my twin three year olds, Penelope and Brooks. My kids just started their first year of pre-school and are loving learning just as much as me! One of my passions is running. I am training for my second marathon that is coming up in October!
I look forward to getting to know you and your child as the year and years progress! Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns as the year goes on.
