This is my third year teaching at STEM. Before coming to Richfield I taught in New Ulm, Mountain Lake, and Windom. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade and was also a Reading Interventionist.

I live in Bloomington with my husband and we have three teenagers. In my spare time I like to bake, shop, go to Twins games, and play games with my family.
I look forward to another great school year!

I've been teaching at our school since 1994. I was a student here too! I’m a proud graduate of Richfield High School. I earned my BA in Elementary Education and Spanish and MA in Education Technology at the University of St. Thomas. I recently became a Google Certified Level 1 Educator. I’m looking forward to utilizing Chromebooks in our classroom this year.

When I’m not at school I love spending time with my family, playing tennis, going for walks, and playing with my energetic Golden Doodle pup.

I began my teaching career in Richfield when our school was called Richfield Intermediate School. I was  a substitute teacher for four years before I got a full-time job. I have taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades.

My husband and I live in Bloomington. Our son, Bill, is an X-ray technician. He lives in Richfield with his wife and our grandson, Liam. We have a daughter, Nicole. She is a second grade teacher in Bloomington. She lives there too with her husband and our other grandson, Owen. They will give us our first granddaughter in March.

I love to spend time with my grandchildren, read, shop, run, and practice yoga. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I consider myself to be very lucky to have the chance to work at R-STEM. The students I see teach me something every day.
