This week brought an unexpected bit of joy to our district. A small package arrived from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), filled with handwritten postcards from students. These notes were collected at the Minnesota State Fair through the “Thank an Educator” project, where visitors shared messages of appreciation for school staff.
MDE shared that this year’s fair brought in more thank-you notes than ever before, which they called a testament to the caring, qualified educators and staff across Minnesota.
Inside the package were messages written to staff right here in Richfield. Some were sweet, some were funny and all were heartfelt.

After 15 years of volunteering at Richfield Middle School, Frank Berg is stepping away, leaving behind a legacy that goes far beyond math lessons.

Students in the College in the Schools: Climate Crisis course are learning about the importance of providing clean energy and combating climate change.

In April, Richfield High School students visited PreK classrooms at Central Education Center to read original stories to 3- and 4-year-old students.

The Minnesota Department of Education has released the 2025 graduation data, and Richfield Public Schools has much to celebrate!
