Dear RPS Families,
The 2022-23 school year is well underway and I’m proud of all the accomplishments our students have made so far.
- There are early indicators of strong academic growth across all grade levels.
- We have seen improvements in the social-emotional growth of our students.
- Our athletes have competed at both regional and state levels.
- Student artists have taken home awards in a number of areas.
I am looking forward to the new calendar year and the second half of our school year with all that we can accomplish together. Richfield Public Schools are and will remain a great place for every individual to learn, grow and excel.

We sat down with our 2022-23 student reps: Elsy Cruz Parra, Chimdalu Dibua and Paola Hernandez Zuniga. They shared with us why they serve on the school board, things they have learned by participating in meetings and how they stay involved in our community.

In her book The Purple Dot, Remi Axelson addresses the complicated topic of divorce in a way elementary students can easily understand it.
