Expanding Career & College Readiness at RHS with Achieve Twin Cities Partnership

Expanding Career & College Readiness at RHS with Achieve Twin Cities Partnership

For the past six years, Richfield High School has provided dedicated career and college readiness support to help students explore their options and prepare for life after graduation. This year, that work continues through a new partnership with Achieve Twin Cities.

Achieve Twin Cities is a nonprofit organization with nearly 25 years of experience supporting Twin Cities students as they prepare for careers, college and life after high school. Through its Career & College Centers, Achieve provides individualized support with career exploration, college and training options, applications, financial aid and other steps students may encounter as they build their plans for the future.

At RHS, students will continue to have access to individualized career and college guidance through the Career & College Readiness (CCR) Center, now staffed through the district's partnership with Achieve Twin Cities.

“This partnership reflects what Richfield Rising is all about: making sure every student has the support, opportunities and resources they need to learn, grow and excel,” said Assistant Superintendent Bondo Nyembwe. “We are excited to partner with Achieve Twin Cities as we continue helping students explore their goals, understand their options and build a plan for their future.”

At RHS, students will be able to work directly with Career & College Coordinator Gabrielle Brown Torres.

Gabrielle brings several years of experience supporting students as they plan for life after high school. For the past three school years, she served as the Achieve Career & College Coordinator at Southwest High School in Minneapolis. Prior to joining Achieve Twin Cities, Gabrielle worked on the multicultural admissions team at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota.

Through this partnership with Achieve Twin Cities, RHS will continue providing dedicated career and college support while expanding the resources, expertise and opportunities available to students as they plan for life after high school.

This work also supports Richfield Rising, the district's 2026-32 strategic plan and its focus on preparing all students to learn, grow and excel. By expanding individualized career and college guidance, RPS is working to ensure students leave Richfield High School not only ready to graduate, but prepared for what comes next.

“We are thrilled to partner with a school so well-aligned with our mission and approach,” said Danielle Grant, CEO at Achieve. “Richfield High School has built a strong foundation of providing excellent college and career readiness support, and we are excited to build upon that work to ensure all students get the personalized support they need to make a plan for their future.”
