Chris Peterson Named New Activities Director

Chris Peterson Named New Activities Director

Dear RPS Community,

I am pleased to share that we have hired Chris Peterson as our new Activities Director. Mr. Peterson is currently a Social Studies teacher at Richfield High School and has been with Richfield Public Schools for 22 years. During this time, in addition to teaching, he has held a variety of positions within our athletics department, including head coach for two sports, assistant coach for three sports and co-equipment manager.

Mr. Peterson’s long history within Richfield Public Schools, his background in athletics and his relationships with staff and students make him an ideal candidate for this position. He holds a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. He is also the assistant baseball coach at Macalester College and was previously named the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coach of the Year.

Please join me in welcoming Chris Peterson to the role of Activities Director, starting this summer.

Sincerely,

Superintendent Steven Unowsky
