Congratulations to our Athena Nominees
This week we honored the 2023 Athena Nominees: Grace Anderson, Sarah Carlson, Emilly Dzierzak, McKay Hall, Maren Jensen, Julia Lindow, Eva Patenaude and Josie Popp. These athletes were recognized for their outstanding athletic achievements during their high school career. These eight nominees have a combined 16 All-Conference recognitions and nine Honorable Mentions, along with an average GPA of 4.26. These outstanding female athletes are leaders in the classroom and in their sports
Congratulations to Grace Anderson, our 2023 Athena winner. She is a three-sport athlete, who has conference recognition in Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. She is a captain in all three sports and a leader among her peers. Next year, Grace will head to Southwest Minnesota State University to play softball and major in pre-physical therapy. She was awarded the highest academic scholarship from Southwest Minnesota State for her achievements in the classroom.

Over the past few weeks, Richfield High School band students have been active performers at several honor band concerts. Congratulations to all of the students for their acceptance into these events that led to outstanding performances and a proud representation of Richfield High School.
Richfield High School students in the yearlong Climate Crisis class are making a difference across the world — for the fourth year in a row! This semester, students finished putting together their “solar suitcase,” which was sent to Kenya last week to provide light to students at schools with no access to electricity.
Congratulations to our League of Legends eSports team, who qualified for the Minnesota Varsity League State Tournament and will play at the Mall of America on Sunday, Jan. 15!
Join us in congratulating senior Elsy Cruz Parra for receiving the TWIST EPIC Award from Target through her Genesys Works Internship. TWIST stands for Target Women in Science and Technology, while the EPIC stands for Engagement, Passion, Innovation, and Curiosity in All Things STEM.
