Celebrating Spartan Foundation Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to our students who received Spartan Foundation Scholarships! We celebrated them at the 34th Annual Richfield Spartan Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony on May 29, 2024. We are proud of each of these students, and grateful to our donors, who share their visions of a bright future for our RHS students. 

  • Jocelyn Ramirez Aragon received the Success Against All Odds Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and major in Architecture. 
  • Evelyn Smiley received the Top Scholar Scholarship and plans to attend St. Olaf College and major in English. 
  • Ethan Soderberg received the Success Against All Odds Scholarship and plans to attend Dougherty Family College (University of St. Thomas) with a major in Psychology. 
  • Greta Sollie received the Bob Tripanier Memorial Scholarship and plans to attend Point Loma Nazarene University and major in English and Spanish. 
  • Atziry Olivares Guzman received the Herby Family Scholarship and plans to attend Winona State University and major in Early Childhood Education. 
  • Emily Olson received the Karnas Family Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and major in Finance, Business. 
  • Malcolm Peterson received the Athletic Scholarship and plans to attend Southwest Minnesota State University. 
  • Parker Pollis received the Russ Schuveiller Memorial Scholarship and plans to attend the College of St. Benedict with a major in Math and Climate Science. 
  • Rosita Narvaez Ortiz received the First Generation Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a major in Psychology and Computer Science. 
  • Jacob Noonan received the Aviation Scholarship and plans to attend Minnesota State University - Mankato with a major in Aviation and Sports Management. 
  • Natalie Nutting received the Bill Davis Scholarship and plans to attend St. Olaf College with a major in Biology. 
  • Connor Okey received the Success Against All Odds Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a major in Economics. 
  • Teagan McCarty received the Top Scholar Scholarship and plans to attend Gustavus Adolphus College with a major in Psychological Science. 
  • Thomas Madrid received the Russ Schuveiller Memorial Scholarship and plans to attend St. Olaf College with a major in Nursing. 
  • Leksvin Mendoza Pasten received the Technical/Community College Scholarship and plans to attend Hennepin Technical College with a major in Auto Body Collision Technology. 
  • Angela Morocho Sarmiento received the Steve Grindeland Memorial Scholarship and plans to attend Dougherty Family College (University of St. Thomas) with a degree in Nursing. 
  • Janiya Moore received the Athena Award Scholarship and plans to attend the University of St. Thomas with a major in Biology. 
  • Joaquin Jamison received the Tom Spooner Award Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a major in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Iriani Ayala received the First Generation Scholarship and plans to attend St. Catherine University or the University of Minnesota with a major in Biology (Pre-Dental). 
  • Binta Bajo received the Success Against All Odds Scholarship and plans to attend St. Catherine University with a major in Nursing. 
  • Quinn Cossette received the Athletic Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a major in Computer Science. 
  • Chimdalu Dibua received the Sandahl Family Scholarship and plans to attend the University of San Francisco with a major in Public Health.

Success Story: The First Annual Powwow at RHS

Richfield High School was proud to host our first annual Powwow. The event, which was organized by students, was a tremendous success and a vibrant celebration of Native American/Indian culture.
