Members of the Richfield Public School District Board of Education make decisions centered on what is best for students and incorporates student input throughout the process—from listening sessions with students to the inclusion of student board representatives. They also value input from families, staff and the Richfield community, inviting people to make public comments at one board meeting each month.

- If multiple people plan to address the board on the same subject, they may be asked to select a representative to speak for the group.
- Personal attacks and disruption of the board meeting are not acceptable. Any individual who persists in these behaviors after being warned may be asked to leave the premises.
- Speakers will be called in order as follows: students, speakers on a specific agenda item, then others in order of sign up, with preference given to those who have not spoken in the past six months.
- Please note that the role of the school board is to set the vision and goals for the District, monitor progress and ensure accountability. The school board does not make day-to-day operational decisions for any of the individual schools or departments in the District.
