Early Childhood Special Education
Early Childhood Special Education is a Richfield Public Schools program that provides early intervention services to young children, birth through 6 years old. Children who receive services have been identified with developmental delays in the area(s) of Speech and Language, Gross and Fine Motor skills, Social and Emotional behavior, Cognitive and/or Functional skills, or have Vision or Hearing losses.
If there are concerns about the development of a child who is not yet in kindergarten, please call and make a referral to the following places:

- The state of Minnesota requires that all children be screened before entering kindergarten. This screening is most valuable when completed as soon as possible after a child's third birthday.
