At Richfield Public Schools our outreach workers work directly with families and students. Outreach workers provide information regarding various resources available to families through the schools and the Richfield community.
In addition, our outreach workers work directly with parents to help them understand our educational system: how it works and how they can get involved and help their children to successfully graduate and become part of their community.
How to get involved with your child's education:
Voices United for Student Success (VUSS) is a free seven-week program designed to develop the capacity for PreK-12 parents to have a strong and positive home and school partnerships. Parents learn how to advocate for their children, navigate our school system, and support student learning. VUSS creates a collaborative community that transforms the educational environment at home and school. This partnership increases overall knowledge and involvement by educating and empowering our families; so that all Richfield students can achieve their greatest academic potential for college and career success. Classes can currently be taught in English, Spanish and Somali. Read more about VUSS here.
