  • Richfield Public Schools EL Exit Procedures



    Students are automatically exited from EL service and reclassified for the following school based on the following scores:

     

    Overall ACCESS 2.0 scores at or above 4.5,  and

    All four domain (listening, speaking, reading, writing)scores at or above 3.5.

     

    Discussion regarding exit for the following scores:

     

    Overall ACCESS 2.0 scores at or above 4.5, and

    Three of four domains (listening, speaking, reading, writing) scores at or above 3.5. . .  and the following information

     

    1. Does the student have an IEP or 504 that may impact the score of the lowest domain? (if yes, then exit.  If no, then move to b)
    2. Is the student performing similarly to his or her grade level peers?  If yes, then exit. If no, then is the lowest domain the determining factor that is hindering the student from performing on grade level, and can this be documented? If no, then exit.  

    *If yes, then meet with the family for consult and family’s wishes regarding service.



    EL service exit letters for K-1, 2-5, and 6-12 will be sent home by the home school.
